Founded in 1960, the Yeshivas Torah Ore soon become a worldwide leading institution in Torah studies. The school was moved to the Haredi neighborhood of Kiryat Mattersdorf in Jerusalem five years after its inception and rebuilt with a new building after the Six-Day War of 1967.
Torah Ore was conceived by Rabbi Scheinberg as a strong seminary that welcomed both American and Israeli youth who aspired to study the Torah. By the early 2000s, the Yeshivah had hundreds of students from around the world filling the school to its limit and giving cause to build an additional expansion of dormitories.
Now headed by the founder’s son and grandson, the Torah Ore continues to flourish as a beacon of Torah study, educating many hard-working young men in the same tradition as Rabbi Leib Tropper.
